We are now on week 2 of our HIP 4-week series.
Week 2 — Thurs, Feb 15th at 7 pm
The first of our 4-class series “Are You Hip” will be focused on getting to know the movements of the hips and pelvis working skills through both passive and active ranges of motion to strengthen and improve mobility.
Here is a sneak peek at the curriculum for each week:
Week 1: The Hip Connection – Overview of various aspects of hip anatomy and function including motions of the hip and exploring movement. (COMPLETED)
*WEEK 2: Release to Strengthen – Focus on building balance through a combination of releases and corrective exercises.
Week 3: All About Squats – Whole-body movement skills and optimal alignment used to improve squat bio-mechanics through various planes of motion.
Week 4: Walkin’ – Focus on movement skills to develop lateral hip strength and stability in walking and standing/kneeling balance positions.

Anna MacIntosh is a local movement trainer in Burlington Ontario with a passion for combining science and movement for life. Anna is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance and holds additional certifications in Restorative Yoga, ELDOA Levels 1 and 2 (The ELDOA Method™), Laynee Restorative Breathing™ Level 1, and is a current student of the Katy Bowman Nutritious Movement ™ Restorative Exercise Specialist Program. She couples a unique background in engineering with learning from various modalities to inform body alignment with the aim to improve functional movement for life.
