Continuing the Earth Theme for April!
Join me, Amy Lou Taylor, owner of The Art of Tea and Tasseomancy and Mystic Tearoom for a fun DIY workshop!
I admit, I have an obsession, might be an addiction... Terrariums! Earlier this year I was cleaning out much of my kitchen and went through a bunch of glass wares I was storing in our basement. That is where it all started!
A terrarium (plural: terraria or terrariums) is usually a sealable glass container containing soil and plants, and can be opened for maintenance to access the plants inside. However, terraria can also be open to the atmosphere rather than being sealed.
In this workshop, we will be making open Terrariums. Terraria are often kept as decorative or ornamental items. Their popularity from the 70s and 80s is making quite the comeback now, and I admit, I have caught the bug!
So, I have a limited selection of beautiful glass terraria containers that I have procured specifically for this workshop. I will also have a selection of succulent plants for us to use to make our own little ecosystems!
You are welcome to bring your own 3-8 inch open clear glass container (I will post examples, and yes, you can even use a wineglass!), I will provide the rest!
Using your own container: $35
Using one of mine: $50
Space is limited to 8 people so preregistration is required. You can do so by email at [email protected]
