Following the success of the Elect More Women Conference in Autumn, the Status of Women Committee with community partners will host a series of workshops curated to continue the conversation. These are non-partisan workshops designed to speak to women who are considering seeking office and/or want to support a woman candidate running for office. 2018 is a double election year. It’s time to get organized.

On March 27 at City Hall, Arezoo Najibzadeh and Yasmin Rajabi of the Young Women’s Leadership Network will offer two workshops in the same evening.

Pay what You Can Event suggested donation is $5.00

The first workshop of the evening is Young Women: Breaking Barriers on Election Campaigns (4-5 pm)

Aimed at young women and girls (these are used as fluid/trans inclusive gender identifiers since we work form a trans-inclusive standpoint), will focus on discussing the barriers to young women’s civic and political engagement and familiarize them with ways to get involved.
