Jerrold's interest art started in highschool when his art instructor taught his class the Betty Edwards course, Drawing on the right side of the brain. Jerrold became inspired and excited and decided to take Animation at Sheridan College where he de...veloped skills in visual storytelling. Eventually Jerrold switched disciplines and focused on Illustration and Design. He began a career doing commissioned portraits and Illustrations. The work was varied, and Jerrold gained experience in different mediums, including digital work. It was during this time where he developed an interest in Art History and began to understand the power of Visual Literacy, and how to communicate through this Universal Language. For the past 5 years Jerrold has been working with his wife, together they run a commercial photography studio. This application of visual expression, has enough variety to keep Jerrold excited about moving forward in my quest to understand more.
