Music Therapy & Mental Health!
This workshop aims to provide participants with the skills and tools to increase their work within a mental health perspective. Whether you are a Music Therapist or an Allied Health Clinician, this workshop will help to enhance your understanding of the connections between Music and Mental Health.
In this workshop we will explore how to set mental health goals, use music to develop therapeutic rapport, and add/enhance the use of music in your clinical work. Participants will also learn self-care techniques and how to adapt/apply these techniques to your clinical work with your clients.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to;

2. Identify 4 different interventions to increase music within one’s practice.
3. Implement several self-care techniques including meditation, positive affirmations and gratitude journaling
4. Adapt self-care techniques for use with clients.
Learning objectives can be facilitated for both musicians and non-musicians.
