We will be hosting a Sacred Mayan Fire for Children (and their adults!) on our property in Ancaster (627 Westview Ave L9G1N8) on Saturday 25 August at 1030 am. Tata Victor will hold sacred space for us as we share the beautiful gifts of Mayan fire with the little keepers of this planet.
PLEASE SHARE WIDELY on behalf of Tata Victor and Nana Esperanza. ALL ARE WELCOME (including adults wishing to join).
Participants are asked to bring 2 white candles to honor your Ancestors. You may bring as many as you wish, and some to share.
You are encouraged to bring offerings of flowers, cacao beans, white copal, and Florida water to give to the Elders to help with the Ceremony. ALL Offerings to the Sacred Fire must be cleared through Tata Victor first, to be cleansed according to Mayan tradition.
This is an outdoor event that takes place in all weather. Please dress accordingly and bring your own folding chair. You may wish to bring hand drums, shakers and rattles for the children to join in the rhythm of our sacred fire. Please park in our driveway or anywhere on Westview Avenue.
Following sacred fire, we plan to have a pot-luck snack. Please consider bringing a child-friendly, nut-free snack to share.
Suggested donation: $20.00. This is a not-for-profit event to cover the Elders' travel expenses.
